Funeral services for Robert Daniel Hall, 77, of Hartwell were held Saturday, January 10, 2009, at Bethesda Baptist Church, Union Point, with Rev. Kagey Barrow, Dr. Michael Lee, Rev. Rob Hill, Rev. Michael Fugate, and Rev. James Bowen officiating. He died Wednesday, January 7, at Regency Hospital in Greenville, S.C.

Mr. Hall was a native of Wilkes County and was the son of the late James Boyce Hall and Gladys Overton Hall. He attended school in Tignall and later moved to Union Point where he lived with his uncle and aunt, Richard and Margaret Overton. In 1970 he moved from Union Point to Hart County Men's Home. He was a member of Bethesda Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sisters, Helen Hall Price of Athens and Sara Hall Ingram of Decatur; and a brother, James Boyce Hall Jr. of Stockton, Calif.

Pallbearers included Lynn Cleveland, Boyce Hall, Chris Gibbs, Charlie Scott, Jerry Hall, and Stephen Messer.
