Black history program slated for Mulberry on February 8, 3 p.m.
DAVID E. DANNER Mulberry Baptist Church will be having its Black history program on Sunday, February 8, at 3 p.m. The guest speaker will be David E. Danner, an attorney from Nashville, Tennessee.
Danner is the son of Arthur Watson Danner and Vinnie Mae Coleman Danner Taylor. He was graduated from Tennessee State University in 1991 and Boston College Law School in 1994. He was a 2006 recipient of the Legacy Builder Award, a national community-service honor bestowed by the National Association of Future Black Law Students.
Danner was in private law practice as a solo practitioner in Nashville, Tennessee, for almost 14 years focusing on civil rights, consumer protection, and family law. He has taught business law at TSU since 1998. In 2008, Danner retired from private law practice to engage in additional service to TSU as a contract specialist within the Division of Research and Sponsored Programs which seeks and administers research financing for the university.
David and his wife, Dana, are members of Olive Branch Church in Antioch-Cane Ridge, Tennessee, where he serves as secretary of the Shalom Ministry.
