Ga. State Patrol reports January traffic violations

State Troopers from the Washington Post of the Georgia State Patrol investigated nine traffic crashes during the month of January in Wilkes County.
Sergeant First Class Andrews said the traffic crashes resulted in five injuries. There were no traffic deaths.
SFC Andrews said troopers from Post 17 also issued 145 traffic citations in the county during the month. The total includes 10 arrests for driving under the influence; 56 citations for speeding; 16 seat belt violations; and three child restraint violations.
Troopers also issued 164 warnings.
