The W-W Lady Tigers finished their regular season in right good style by beating the Lincoln County Red Devils 58-44 (details not available) and securing a second place finish in Sub-region 4A-A as the post-season approached.

Yet to be determined, the region playoff game for the girls will be against the No. 3 team in Subregion 4B-A, which figures to be either Twiggs County (3-3, 6-13) or GMC (3-3, 16-9). The ladies didn't play Twiggs at all this season but encountered GMC twice. Both of those games went into overtime but ended in the Bulldogs' favor (35-32 and 41-37, see below)

The two No. 1 teams in their respective sub-regions are Warren County (7-0, 16-8) and Hancock Central (6-0, 16-7).

The Tiger ladies posted a 5-3 region record and an 10-16 overall record for the regular season.

Earlier games for the ladies included the following.

Disaster struck the Lady Tigers, again in overtime, when GMC's Bulldogs stole the lead and held on for a miraculous turn-around win. W-W was up by two points in the fourth period with less than half a minute to play.

"We went to the free throw line three times and went one-for-six," Brinson lamented. But GMC had not scored so the ladies were up by three with just 5.2 seconds left.
