Goldman, Callaway show top steers at annual event
Greg Callaway of Wilkes County showed the Reserve Champion steer at Saturday's 55th Annual Washington Area Junior Steer and Heifer Show. (Full results on page 10A.) Lincoln County's C.J. Goldman took Grand Champion Steer and Wilkes County's Greg Callaway took Reserve Champion in Saturday's 55th Annual Washington Area Junior Steer and Heifer Show at the McGill-Woodruff Agricultural Center in Washington.
Callaway led Wilkes County students Tommy Howard, Sheena Kopecky, Danielle Thornton, Kelsi Thornton, Brett Lunceford, and Chelsea Tamsi, and entrants included students from Lincoln, Oglethorpe, Elbert, and Madison counties.
Judge for the event was Fred Rayfield of Adel, Georgia.
