DUIs, drugs down, violent crimes are up in February law enforcement round-up
Wilkes County saw a decrease in the number of people arrested for driving while intoxicated and drug offenses, but saw an upsurge in arrests for property crimes, assaults, and threats last month. The following arrests were recorded for Wilkes County law enforcement during the month of February.
Roslyn A. Bell, 40, of Washington, was arrested February 22 by Washington police and charged with aggravated assault and two counts of criminal damage in the first degree. She was released on $18,000 bond.
Patrick Tamaris Willis, 22, of Tignall, was arrested February 10 by Wilkes County deputies and charged with possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance and with obstruction of an officer. He was held on a state probation violation.
Garland Travis Moody, 28, of Wilkes County, was arrested by Wilkes County deputies and charged with three counts of theft by taking. He was released on $19,000 bond.
Eddie Franklin Blackburn, 37, of Wilkes County, was arrested February 18 by Washington police and charged with aggravated assault. He was held on $10,000 bond.
James Binns, 49, of Washington, was arrested February 19 by Washington police and charged with felony theft by shoplifting. He was held on $5,000 bond.
Myron T. Marshall, 39, of Wilkes County, was arrested February 19 by Wilkes County deputies and charged with aggravated assault and with making terroristic threats or acts. He was held for state probation.
Karen Radakovitz, 57, of Washington, was arrested February 23 by Washington police and charged with making terroristic threats and acts, and with influencing witnesses. She was held for state probation.
Felicia M. Cullars, 33, of Wash- ington, was arrested February 3 by Sheriff Mark Moore and charged with cruelty to children (third degree.) She was held on a state probation violation.
Benjamin Eugene Anderson, 53, of Wilkes County, was arrested February 9 by Wilkes County deputies and charged with burglary, battery, and with interference with a 911 call. He was held on $13,000 bond.
Tyrekus C. Gartrell, 19, of Rayle, was arrested January 28 by Washington police and charged with theft by taking. He was released on $5,000 bond.
Terrence Holloway, 22, of Lincolnton, was arrested February 4 by Washington police and charged with battery and with criminal damage to property in the second degree. He was held on $7,500 bond.
Karen Michelle Locklear, 32, of Washington, was arrested January 29 by Wilkes County deputies and charged with theft by taking. She was released on $3,000 bond.
Lisa Ann Bell, 34, of Washington, was arrested February 23 by Wilkes County deputies and charged with two counts of forgery in the first degree. She was released on $8,000 bond.
Bill Eugene Anderson, 48, of Wilkes County, was arrested February 28 by Wilkes County deputies and charged with battery. He was held on $4,000 bond.
Cynthia C. Peebles, 51, of Wilkes County, was arrested February 2 by Washington police and charged with driving while intoxicated; driving while license is withdrawn; and with driving without headlights. She was released on $1,794 bond.
Melvin Oris Thomas, 62, of Harlem, was arrested February 25 by a Georgia State Patrol trooper and charged with driving under the influence; violation of the open container law; and having an expired vehicle plate. He was held on $2,500 bond.
Howard Jones Jr., 49, of Thomson, was arrested February 16 by a Georgia State Patrol trooper and charged with driving under the influence, driving on a withdrawn license, and speeding (26-30 over). He was held for Centerville police.
Kimberly N. Wilson, 29, of Appling, was arrested February 10 by a Georgia State Patrol trooper and charged with driving under the influence. She was released on payment of a cash fine.
Benny Goolsby, 57, of Washington, was arrested February 15 by Washington police and charged with driving under the influence, and with speeding (26-30 over.) He was released on $1,850 bond.
Wayne Beasley, 62, of Lithonia, was arrested February 12 by a Georgia State Patrol trooper and charged with driving under the influence. He was released on $1,628 bond.
Willie Joe Turman, 47, of Wilkes County, was arrested February 25 by a Georgia State Patrol trooper and charged with driving under the influence and with violation of the open container law. He was held on $4,000 bond.
Sierra Contessa Williams, 23, of Washington, was arrested February 25 by Washington police and charged with misdemeanor obstruction of an officer. She was released on $2,500 bond.
Arsheika Shenae Kendrick, 20, of Washington, was arrested by Washington police and charged with disorderly conduct. She was released on $566 bond.
Charles Acree, 27, of Wilkes County, was arrested February 6 by Washington police and charged with driving while license is withdrawn. He was released on $1,426 bond.
Lilly P. Milton, 44, of Washington, was arrested February 6 by Washington police and charged with disorderly conduct. She was released on bond.
Bobby Joe Hicks, 45, of Lincolnton, was arrested February 9 by Washington police and charged with disorderly conduct. He was held on $286 bond.
Thomas Allen Garnett, 50, of Lincolnton, was arrested February 1 by a Georgia State Patrol trooper and charged with driving while license withdrawn and with violation of the seat belt law. He was released on $2,000 bond.
Demonta Tramayne Peek, 23, of Greensboro, was arrested February 25 by Washington police and charged with driving too fast for conditions, driving without license, and obstruction of an officer. He was released on $3,500 bond.
Patrick Quinn, 34, of Washington, was arrested February 6 by Washington police and charged with disorderly conduct. He was released on $566 bond.
Maria Eloisa Perez, 50, of Wilkes County, was arrested February 25 by a Georgia State Patrol trooper and charged with driving without a license, and with failure to drive within a single lane. She was released on $2,000 bond.
April N. Huff, 21, of Dearing, was arrested February 25 by a Georgia State Patrol trooper and charged with driving while license is withdrawn, speeding (26-30 over), expired tag, and an equipment charge. She was released on $3,000 bond.
