Jordan Dawson celebrates second birthday Feb. 12
Jordan Myles Dawson, son of Myles and Brooke Dawson of Tignall, celebrated his second birthday on February 12 and was honored on two occasions.
Jordan first celebrated with a John Deere Gator theme party with family and friends Saturday, February 7, at the Tignall Baptist Church Family Life Center.
Guests enjoyed Jordan's birthday cake, decorated with a John Deere Gator and John Deere logo, chips, M&M's, goldfish and drinks. Tables were decorated with checked cloths and green and yellow balloons.
Uncle Josh Bufford provided entertainment for the children by giving rides on the John Deere Gator while Samantha Arthur sat in the back with the children.
Each child was given a goody bag at the end of the party.
Celebrating with Jordan included his sister, Whitney; maternal grandparents, Cissy and Clyde Rogers, and great-grandparents, Roy J. Harrison and Shirley Bufford; paternal grandmother, Phyllis Dawson, and great-grandmother, Esther Dawson; uncles and aunt, Josh Bufford and Josh and Karla Dawson Grimaud; Lacey, Josh and Jade Fincher, Sheila and Mason Wheatley, Lori and Jake Tucker, Genna and Kaylee Grimaud, Jill and Carlie Thornton, Daisy Parker, of Washington-Wilkes, Jennifer and Chloe Johnson of Warrenton, Brenda, Becca, Andrew and Emily Dennis of Lawrenceville, Diane Corn of Flowery Branch, and Samantha Arthur of Lincolnton.
Maternal grandparents, Mike and Tracey Bufford were unable to attend as they stayed home to tend to Jordan's little sister, Molly Dawson, who was ill and Keith Dawson, paternal grandfather, was absent as he was in Kentucky with Rayle EMC helping restore electricity for ice storm victims.
Jordan celebrated on his birthday at the home of his sitter, Gertrude Long, with his favorite lunch of chicken nuggets, English peas, and creamed potatoes. Mini-cupcakes were served for dessert.
