Burdette bags biggest buck


Maurice "Marcy" Burdette (center) of Elberton was the winner of the Big Buck Contest sponsored by Floyd Higgins (left), President of the Fishing Creek Chapter of Wildlife Action, Inc. and Gary Dobbs (right) of D and D Taxidermy in Rayle. Burdette was one of 30 hunters that entered the contest. He won with an eight point buck that had an 18 inch spread and a dressed weight of 160 pounds.
