Solomon Pool Holiness Church, Washington, will have a "Relocation Service" on Sunday, March 29, 1 p.m. This will be the last service for the church in Washington. The two churches will be combined into one church located at Solomon Pool Deliverance Ministries at 1026 Murray-Jones Circle, Lincolnton.

The Washington-Wi lkes Toastmasters Club will meet every Monday at the Mary Willis Library from 6 to 7 p.m. Everyone 18 years of age and over is invited to attend. Membership is open and all are welcome.

A Gospel meeting will be held at the Church of Christ, Washington, March 22-25, 7 p.m. Guest speaker will be Clyde Rouzan of Williston, S.C.

The following athletic dates and events at W-WCHS will be coming up in April: April 13, physicals given to male athletes for middle and high school, 3:30 p.m., in the high school lobby; April 20, physicals given to female athletes for middle and high school, 3:30 p.m., in the lobby; April 23, community wide meet and greet with Coach Hutto, 7 p.m., in the school cafeteria; April 30, parents meeting with Coach Hutto for any athlete playing football during the 2009 season, 7 p.m., in the school cafeteria.

The House of Worship will have a prayer and praise service April 19, 3 p.m. Guest speaker will be Minister Stephanie Smith of the Pole Branch Baptist Church. Music will be by the Clark family.

A mid-week worship service will be held at the First Baptist Church, Lincolnton, April 7, 7 p.m. Evangelist Penny Quinn will be the speaker.

. Y oung's Chapel Baptist Church will have its annual family and friends day Sunday, April 19, 12 noon. Dinner will be served.

Zoah Church will celebrate its first youth program April 19, 3 p.m. Minister Davarious Cullars of Lincolnton will be the speaker.

St. Joseph's Catholic Church will host a Mexican Feast Friday, May 8, 6-8 p.m., in the Parish Hall, 1015 N. Bypass West. Cost is $8. Eat in or take outs available. Proceeds will benefit programs of the church. For tickets or more information contact Kathy Overstreet at 706-678-7461.

The Annual Classic South Horse Fair will be held Saturday, April 25, at Callaway Plantation. The fair will include representation of more than 20 different horse breeds in the Classic South. For more information visit the web site at 222.cshorse.org.

The Washington-Wilkes Arts Festival will be held April 24- 26. Francine Reed will be at the Pope Center at 8 p.m. on Friday. There will be live music from local artists on The Square on Saturday. The Washington-Wilkes Primary School Choir and the Augusta Choral will perform at the Pope Center on Sunday.

The Cruise-In sponsored by the Memory Lane Cruisers will be held Saturday, May 9, from 6 to 9 p.m. The Cruise-In is open to antique cars, hot rods, trucks, and motorcycles. There will be food, prizes, fun for the family. and music by Tommy Landrum's Cruzin' to the Oldies. The first 100 to register will receive dash plaques.

Shepherd's Care Ministry of Clifford Grove Baptist Church, Rayle, is having its annual Rainbow Family and Friends Day April 5 at 3 p.m. The guest pastor will be Rev. Dennis Quinn of First Baptist Church, Lincolnton, and Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Martinez.

New Hope Baptist Church, Margaret's Grove Church Road, Crawfordville, will install its new pastor, Demetrice Porter, Sunday, March 29, 2:30 p.m. Rev. Dante Smith, pastor of Bookers Chapel and Mt. Sinai Baptist churches, will be the guest messenger.

New Springhill Baptist Church, 2491 Crawfordvi l le Road, Philomath, will have its annual women's day program Sunday, April 5, 2:30 p.m. Rev. Calvin Turner and the Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Stephens, Ga., will be the guest messenger and church family. Dinner will be served at 1:30 p.m.

There will be a barbecue plate sale for the Meet & Greet with Coach Hutto on April 23, The fundraising event is sponsored by the Tiger Club. Tickets can be purchased from football players and coaches for $8 each.

The Tiger football team will attend the University of Georgia Spring football game in Athens April 11.

There will be a meeting of parents on April 30 with Coach Hutto for any athlete playing football during the 2009 season. The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. in the school cafeteria.

The Washington Historical Museum will have free admission to the museum to all Wilkes County Residents on the first Saturday of each month. Just show your identification and it's free.

Football equipment will be issued to all rising seniors and juniors participating in spring football practice at W-WCHS on April 27, beginning after school.
