Alexis Gioia, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Bruce Gioia of Vidalia, celebrated her seventh birthday on March 6.

On her birthday, Alexis was treated to a party on the playground at her school, Robert Toombs Christian Academy. Alexis chose her favorite book, "Pinkalicious," as her party theme. After swimming, the guests played "Pin the Sunglasses on the Flamingo" and as each child entered the tiki hut for cake, Alexis put a lei around his or her neck. The children then enjoyed the hula girl cake, ice cream sandwiches, goldfish crackers, macadamia nuts, tropical fruit, chocolate-covered strawberries and tropical punch. After opening gifts, each guest received a bucket filled with goggles, beach bubbles, hibiscus bracelets, sunglasses, flip flop gummies, fish pop-ups and surfboard necklaces.

Joining Alexis, her parents and brother were her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Wolter; Mrs. Rob Huber and Reagan, Mr. and Mrs. Tommy Smith and Briana, Mrs. Bill Ragan and Chelsea, Mrs. Julie Reeves and Kaitlyn, Mrs. Randy McDuffie and Katie, Jay Tapley and Abigail, Mrs. Jeff Cox, Savannah and Connor, Mrs. Lisa Truxel and Taylor, Paul Thigpen and Nelson, Mrs. Marvin Lee, Annie and Carter, Mrs. Craig Adams and Campbell, Hayden Wiggins and Carleigh De- Fee, all of Vidalia.
