The Wilkes County Emergency Medical Services (EMS) will have a special open house celebration in honor of its 35th anniversary on Saturday, May 23, at 2 p.m., at its location behind the Wills Memorial Hospital. The public is invited to celebrate with the personnel.

Carters Grove Baptist Church will have homecoming on Sunday, May 17, at 11 a.m. The pastor, Rev. Brian George, will bring the message. There will be a catered barbecue lunch served at the noon hour and members will bring desserts. All former members and friends are invited to attend.

Transforming Life Ministries will sponsor a "Midnight Musical" at the Third Shiloh Center Sunday, May 24, beginning with prayer at 9 p.m. There will be praise and worship singers and soloists, including PURPOSE, and Michael Bolton. The guest speaker will be Pastor Tonita Cody.
