Cattlemen's scholarship awarded to Abby McAvoy


Abby McAvoy (fourth from left), daughter of Roger and Jennifer McAvoy, was presented the 2009 Wilkes County Cattlemen's Association Academic Scholarship at the organization's annual family night. Abby is a freshman at the University of Georgia majoring in Health Promotion and Behavior in the College of Public Health. The Wilkes County Cattlemen's Association presents a scholarship annually to a member, a child of a member, or a junior member of the Association who has completed high school and at least 12 hours at a post-secondary institution.
