TO THE EDITOR:

I am writing to tell everyone how lucky we are to have Wills Memorial Hospital. My husband spent many days there. This year alone he was there three months out of five months.

I can't say enough about the Emergency Room (ER) personnel and the Admitting Department. They were very reassuring that he was getting good care. The Nursing Staff is as good if not better than the larger hospitals in surrounding cities. I would love to name everyone but that's not possible.

The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) staff took very good care of my husband. When it became evident that James wasn't going to survive, I never felt alone because someone was always checking on us.

Please think before you say take me to Athens or Augusta to the hospital. I know our hospital can't do everything but they are excellent at what they do.

Thank you Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA's), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Registered Nurses (RNs), Social Workers, Physical Therapy, and Housekeeping.
