We had a good day at Clifford's Grove Baptist Church Sunday. There was a good attendance and everyone enjoyed the fellowship meal. .Ansley and James Braxton III of Hull visited James and July Braxton Sunday and attended services at Clifford's Grove with them. .We extend our sincere sympathy to the family of Linda Stevens who passed away Tuesday. A large number of family and friends attended her funeral Friday morning at Resthaven Cemetery. .Visiting Janet and Scott Blaine Monday were members of Scott's family, Edith, Ricky and Danita Stoudemire of Franklin, N.C. .Mrs. Juanita Bradford and Trudy Sutherland spent Memorial Day together just riding around and going to Evans, Augusta, and North Augusta at Hamrick. They enjoyed lunch at Ryan's. .Iris Dyson joined Tad and Kris Hopkins and baby Libby of Eatonton and Adrien and Mark Spandle and baby Meredith of Statesboro and visited Mrs. Felton Corbett Friday afternoon. .Little Carly Mayo visited Scott and Janet Blaine Tuesday afternoon. She also accompanied them to services at Clifford's Grove Sunday. Sue Davis visited Janet Thursday evening. .Larry and Gina Wilkins of Dahlonega visited Scott and Janet Saturday. Janet said they were really impressed with our little town of Washington. .I know all the children are glad that school is out. .My grandson, Charlie Branham, was 13 years old Friday, May 29. He and his mother and Whitney and friends, spent from Saturday until Thursday in Hilton Head, S.C. Friday night his dad carried him, Whitney, and his mother to celebrate his birthday with dinner at the Red Lobster in Augusta. James and I joined the family for a cookout Saturday evening. .James and Keeley Lance of Augusta visited Willard and Sue Lance Saturday and had lunch with them. .Charlie Branham spent Sunday night with his friend, Benjamin Hodges. .Life isn't tied with a bow, but it's still a gift.
