Played basketball over 75 years ago!
     Mabel Johnson was welcomed to the first women's alumni basketball game by Coach Don Keiser. Mrs. Johnson is 94 years old and played forward on the 1931-32 W-W basketball team. She was the oldest alumni to be in attendance and a remarkable "young lady" at that!

'Fun' horse show will be held rain or shine on Sat., June 27
      The Classic South Equine Association will host a Summer Classic "Fun" Horse Show on Saturday, June 27, at the Star Arena in Crawfordville, rain or shine. All events are open to the public, and spectators are welcome to attend and cheer on all the riders.

      Camp number two of four Blue and Gold basketball camps is being held this week at the Washington- Wilkes Parks and Recreation Department, with 23 children age 11 to 13 attending.

Softball camp to be held for girls 6-14 beginning June 15
      The Washington-Wilkes Little League program will be hosting a softball camp June 15-18 from 9 a.m.-noon for all girls ages 6-14. Registration forms and payments may be returned to the offices at Washington-Wilkes Primary School, Washington-Wilkes Elementary School, and Washington-Wilkes Middle School. The cost of the camp is $40.
