Gospel singing will benefit stroke victim Friday, 7 p.m.
A gospel singing to benefit Winford Floyd who has had a stroke will be held at the ABC Auction Barn, Crawfordville, Friday night, June 12, at 7 p.m.
A free will offering will be taken with all the money going to help Mr. Floyd who played lead guitar for Cy Easters and the Sunny South Quartet for approximately 30 years.
Gospel groups expected to be featured include Dennis Bryant with The Divine Three; Marion Merck and the Lanier Land Boys; and Billy O'Kelley and the Homeland Boys.
All of these were at one time members of the Sunny South Quartet.
"We urge you to come and be a part of this great endeavor to help a wonderful person who has done so much for others," said a spokesman for the benefit.
Food will be available at the snack bar.
No admission charge will be made but donations will be accepted to benefit Winford.
