State Patrol Post issues report on traffic crashes and citations

State Troopers from the Washington Post of the Georgia State Patrol investigated 14 traffic crashes during the month of May in Wilkes County.

Sergeant First Class Andrews said the traffic crashes resulted in 11 injuries. There were no traffic deaths.

SFC Andrews said troopers from Post 17 also issued 206 traffic citations in the county during the month. The total includes 15 arrests for driving under the influence, 69 citations for speeding, 50 seat belt violations, and 14 child restraint violations.

Troopers also issued 176 warnings.
