Young Farmers Tractor Pull set Saturday at Aonia pull facility

The Wilkes County Young Farmers will hold their next Young Farmers Truck and Tractor Pull at their facility off Highway 78 at Big Cedar Road this Saturday, June 13.

Complete information is available at TheWTTP.com, said organizer Eric Holton. "We're expecting 175 to 200 hooks in 49 classes Saturday, with a lot of local people bringing their tractors and trucks."

Admission for the pull is $10 for adults and $5 for children ages 6-12. There is no charge for children under six.

A pedal tractor race for kids six and under will be held after the antique classes finish in the afternoon. "Bring your own pedal tractor and compete," Holton said.

Antique Tractor class sign-up runs from 1-2:45 p.m., with sign-up for Hot Farm, Modern Farm, and Truck classes from 4:30-5:30 p.m. A drivers meeting will be held at 2:45 for Antique pullers and at 5:45 for all others.

Antique classes run from 3-6 p.m. Hot Farm, Modern Farm, and Truck competition goes from 6 p.m. until it's over.
