Bowen preaches at Beaverdam for revival services

Beaverdam Baptist Church had a wonderful revival last week. Rev. James Bowen, pastor of the Siloam Baptist Church in Siloam, brought some powerful messages as guest speaker. James lives here in Rayle and his children are Stephanie and Brandon Bowen, and grandson, Cameron. He is the son-inlaw of Martha Hall.

Special singing was enjoyed each evening. Monday, a group from Union Point Baptist Church came and sang several specials. Tuesday, a trio, "The New Apostles," came to sing, and Wednesday, Bill Maxwell sang.

There was also beautiful congregational singing each evening led by Richard Maxwell with William Morrison at the piano. Approximately 10 churches were represented during the three evenings.

The sanctuary was beautiful with pink roses and a mix of summer flowers.

Wednesday, delicious finger foods were served in the fellowship hall by the members of Beaverdam. The tables were covered with pretty cloths with brown-eyed Susans adorning each table.

Rev. John McMillian is pastor of Beaverdam.
