Megan Jane Wheatley of Tiger graduated cum laude from Young Harris College in Young Harris with an Associate of Science degree.

Commencement exercises were held Saturday, May 9, at the Hilda D. Glenn Auditorium at Young Harris College.

Megan is a 2007 honor graduate of Rabun County High School. At Young Harris College she was a member of the Phi Theta Kappa honorary society and the Lady Mountain Lions Tennis Team.

This fall she will be attending the University of Georgia with plans to major in exercise science with a concentration in sports nutrition.

Megan is the daughter of Norman and Marie Wheatley of Tiger and granddaughter of Stanley and Katherine Wheatley of Washington.

Attending the graduation ceremonies in addition to her parents and grandparents were her brothers, Carlton Wheatley of Tiger and Ben Wheatley of Athens; and brother and sister-in-law, Ryan and Jessica Wheatley of Bishop.
