W-WCHS receives recognition as 2009 'No Excuses' school

Washington-Wilkes Comprehensive High School has received notification from Rogers Wade of the Georgia Public Policy Foundation (GPPF) that the school has been recognized by the GPPF as a 2009 "No Excuses" school.
W-WCHS is "one of just 44 schools across Georgia recognized for its academic achievement." The school was the only high school on this particular list and also received a certificate.
The GPPF evaluated 353 high schools in the state and ranked W-WCHS as #56. Other school rankings in the area include Lincoln County, #118; Morgan County, #180; Thomson, #195; Putnam County, #214; Oglethorpe County, #227; Elbert County, #248; Greene County, #259; and Warren County, #316.
