Kirstin E. Rodrigues graduates May 23 from Oconee Co. H.S.
Kirstin Elise Rodrigues graduated with honors from Oconee County High School in Watkinsville in commencement exercises Saturday, May 23, at the University of Georgia Coliseum in Athens.
In addition to being an honor graduate, Kirstin received the National Technical Honor Society Award and the Senior Beta Award. During an earlier awards ceremony she received the Warrior Club Award that honors the best all-around athlete. This honor also awarded her a $1000 scholarship.
Kirstin, the daughter of John and Vicki Denard Rodrigues of Watkinsville, plans to attend the University of Georgia in Athens in the fall.
Attending graduation in addition to Kirstin's parents were grandparents, James and Elizabeth Denard of Washington and George and Ailene Rodrigues of Satellite Beach, Fla; Matt and Megan Rodrigues Stephens and son, Hudson, of Bishop, Lauren Rodrigues of Watkinsville and friend, Tyler Arthur of the Atlanta area, and George and Fran Rodrigues, also of Watkinsville, and Michael and Susan Rodrigues, Joseph and Andrew, of Gainesville.
Following graduation all returned to the Rodrigues home for a celebratory dinner.
