Harper sisters enjoy weekend of dance, celebrate birthdays
Caitlyn and Sydney Harper Caitlyn and Sydney Harper, daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Shane Harper of Evans, were part of a busy weekend June 6-7 as they presented dance recitals and celebrated their birthdays.
The girls performed ballet and jazz routines in their first recital presented by the Martinez-Evans Dance Studio. The production, "The Circle of Life," was presented on June 6-7 at the Maxwell Performing Arts Theatre located at Augusta State University in Augusta. Following the show Mr. and Mrs. Harper gave their daughters longstemmed lavender roses for their hard work and dedication this past year in preparing for the show.
Also in attendance were Caitlyn and Sydney's brother, Adam; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Richard L. DuBois of Crawfordville; aunt, Mrs. Richie DuBois of Washington; and neighbor and family friend, Regina Beggs of Evans.
Sydney and Caitlyn also celebrated their seventh birthday on June 6 at a party at Monkey Joe's in Evans. After much fun in the indoor inflatable playground, guests enjoyed cake and ice cream. Sydney's cake featured a princess theme while Caitlyn's cake had a baseball theme.
Monkey Joe stopped by the party as well to sing "Happy Birthday" to both the girls.
Joining the girls and their parents were brother, Adam; grandmother, Mrs. Richard DuBois; great-aunt, Mrs. Virgil Wolter, and Garner and Reese Bailey, all of Washington; Shannon and Reagan Quattlebaum and Cynthia, Josie and Cammie Armstrong of Appling; Anne and Anna-Claire DeJong and Brelyn Head of Evans.
