We had a great Vacation Bible School last week at Ebenezer Baptist Church. We enrolled over 100 and had an average attendance of 95 each evening. Thanks to all who helped make this a success. We took up an offering at VBS and the money was given to Alina Kuzina to carry back to her home church in the Ukraine where she is a member. They will use the money to help with VBS there later in June. .Our message at church Sunday was "Three More Virtuous Realities: Relationships that last, Part 2." We had the children's sermon by Dr. Dupree after which the children went to children's church. We received three new members Sunday: Allen Kemp, Justin Myers, and Jonathan Davidson. We were happy to have these join our "flock." There was a fellowship meal afterwards. The youth of Ebenezer had a swimming party Sunday afternoon at the home of Shane and Tammy Gunter. .Linda Standard spent several days with Mrs. Johnnie Goodsen in Evans. Linda brought Mrs. Goodsen to church at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church Sunday and they enjoyed dinner together before returning to Evans. .Russell Goldman of Doraville spent Sunday with family. After church Russell, his mother, Sarah Huff, Randy Goldman, Cassie Goldman and Bryson, Justin Goldman, Connie and Misty Johnson, and David Driggers went to Thomson for dinner, the occasion being to celebrate Cassie's 21st birthday. .G.B. and I went to Lincoln County Sunday to visit my mother, Mrs. Blanche Wallace. Others visiting were Garnett Wallace, Charles Wallace of Dahlonega, Chaz Wallace, Shannon Thomason, Richard and Nan Goff of McCormick, S.C., and Wesley Butler. .Trace Newsome and I made a business trip to Augusta Tuesday. .Happy birthday to Miss Grace Dunaway who will celebrate her 82nd birthday Friday, June 12. On Saturday her family gathered to honor her. Those attending were Alex Dunaway, Mrs. Louise Burt, Billy Dunnaway, Mr. and Mrs. Troy Brown, Mrs. Sam McGill, Mr. and Mrs. Tommy Dunnaway, Mr. and Mrs. Brian Henderson, Mr. and Mrs. Wade Dunnaway, Beverly Teasley of Lincoln County and Malinda Erwin of Arnoldsville. Miss Grace is feeling better, but not real great yet. We pray she will feel better soon. On Sunday, Linda Standard and Mrs. Johnnie Goodsen visited Miss Grace and Alex. .Roy Chesnut spent several days at Myrtle Beach last week with family. Michael Van Hart and Hunter Sifre visited Roy during the weekend. .On June 2, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Phillips visited Mr. and Mrs. Tommy Young. .Sarah Huff went to Ft. Gordon last Wednesday on business.
