Flora M. Eades Funeral services for Flora M. Eades, 80, of Washington, were held Tuesday, June 9, 2009, at the Heard's Chapel Baptist Church, Washington, with Rev. John Paul Hull, pastor, and Rev. G.L. Avery officiating. Interment was in City West Cemetery, Washington. She died Thursday, June 4, in the Wills Memorial Hospital, Washington. Mrs. Eades was the daughter of the late Moses Gartrell and Matilda and Ben Sturgis. She was the widow of Matt L. Eades and was a member of the Heard's Chapel Baptist Church. She had retired after 35 years as a dietician. Survivors include three sons, Matt and JoAnn Eades of Chicago, Ill., Grady and Jeanette Eades of Charlotte, N.C., and Larry Eades of Washington; an adopted son, Bobby Hall; three daughters, Carrie Eades of Chicago, Ill., Euna Stripling of Washington, and Vanessa and Roy Norman of Lincolnton; and 17 grandchildren, Meredith, Viennetta, Adrienne, Antwarn, Tristan, Donnell, Brandy, Sirrenthia, Bristol, Courtney, Terrence, Charolz, Jamya, Akira, Aliayha, Terrence Jr., and Jordan. Pallbearers included Frank Brown, Robert Brown, Clifford Jones, James Pettus, Willie Wingfield, and Otis Brown. McLendon Memorial Funeral Home of Washington was in charge of arrangements. |
