Wares return from trip to Canada, stopover in Ohio
Norris and Frances Ware were among 44 travelers on a wonderful trip with Ionosphere Tours of Anderson, S.C.
The group left June 22 and spent their first night in Charleston, W.Va. Tuesday they arrived in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada. There they boarded the Maid of Mist and took the boat ride to Horseshoe Basin, passing directly in front of the Falls.
In Canada they also visited the Botanical Gardens, enjoyed the Floral Clock and the fabulous view of the gorge from the Spanish Car area. Dinner was enjoyed in the revolving dining room of Skylon Tower which provided breathtaking views while dining. Other areas were enjoyed and as the tour began to wind its way home, the group stopped in Dover, Ohio, for a visit to the Football Hall of Fame. A surprise of the trip also in this area was a tour of Warther Carvings Museum that showcased both beautiful and unbelievable feats of carving.
A trip through the Ohio Amish Country provided vistas of rolling fields and farms and delicious Amish cuisine.
The group returned home on June 27.
