Bryan Carswell Barnett receives MBA degree from University of Ga.
Barnet Bryan Carswell Barnett of Washington Wilkes received a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the University of Georgia Terry College of Business during the school's commencement exercises held Friday, May 8, at the Classic Center in Athens.
Barnett is a 2006 graduate of Mercer University Stetson School of Business and Economics where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) cum laude in Entrepreneurship and Finance. He is the son of Joe and Debbie Barnett of Washington-Wilkes.
Barnett earned his degree in the UGA's 11-month Accelerated MBA Program, an elite three semester, extensively rigorous coursework schedule. While in the MBA program, he excelled as a student and was recognized for his efforts by being chosen by a panel of Terry College of Business professors to represent the school as an MBA Ambassador at the annual alumni networking conference in honor of Mrs. Virginia Terry, the namesake of the Terry College of Business. The meeting was held in Jacksonville, Fla.
He was one of five students focusing in real estate chosen to represent the University of Georgia's competition team in the Georgia Chapter of National Association of Industrial and Office Properties (NAIOP) School Challenge Case Competition, an annual school challenge competing with other colleges such as Emory University, Georgia Institute of Technology, Georgia State University and others.
He was chosen to receive the annual Education Foundation of the CCIM Institute University Scholarship and Award given by the Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM), a recognized professional chapter of experts in the disciplines of commercial and investment real estate. In addition, Barnett participated in the Spring 2009 Short Study Abroad Program in Beijing and Shanghai, China.
After receiving his MBA, Barnett has been named to a position with Integra Realty Resources, Inc., the largest commercial real estate property valuation and consulting firm in the United States, with more than 55 local offices coast to coast. He is employed as a Real Estate Analyst in the Integra Atlanta office in Atlanta.
