David Allen Zumbro Jr., son of David and Dee-Dee Zumbro of Lexington, celebrated his sixth birthday on June 12 with an afternoon of swimming and a cookout at the home of his grandparents, David and Sandra Adams in Washington.

David's theme for his party was SpongeBob.

He and his guests enjoyed hamburgers and hot dogs with all the trimmings. Cake and ice cream were also served.

Celebrating with David, his parents and grandparents, were his sister, Hayden; and uncle and cousins, Stephen Adams, Stephen and Stephanie.

David also celebrated on June 20 at Sandy Creek Nature Center in Athens at a party hosted by his parents and grandparents, David and Sandra Adams. Celebrating with them were his sister, Hayden; also classmates and friends along with their families from his Oglethorpe kindergarten class.

The party began with a tour of the nature center. This tour showcased aquariums with fish, snakes and wildlife displays. After the tour they were treated to live demonstrations and discussions of snakes, lizards and turtles. Snake skins and beaver pelts were shown by the tour guides. The tour then continued with an outside nature trail hike.

A Madagascar theme was used for this party and guests enjoyed cake, ice cream, Cheetos, animal crackers and punch.

After opening gifts, David presented his guests party favors as they left the nature center.
