Pole Branch Missionary Baptist Church had another exciting and motivational VBS last week with a total present for the week being 245 children and adults.

The theme for the week was "On the Move -- God's Grace from Place to Place." Topics included Moving with God toward Justice, Monday; Moving with God toward Greatness, Tuesday; Moving with Jesus toward Blessing, Wednesday; and culminating activities for all classes on Thursday.

Adults and children displayed their many talents by reciting poems, reading and singing. A certificate of appreciation was given to everyone in attendance.

The deacons of the church led them in a spiritual devotion each night with prayers and songs.

Teachers for the week included Wanda Anderson, Byron Bowman, Shamekia Davis, Diana Glaze, Howard Glaze, Rev. Larry Hawes, Deskaray Partlow, Pagie Partlow, Stephanie Smith, Angela Taye, and Pequita Wilburn.

Mrs. Oree D. Willis was named Director Emeritus for her faithful services over the years. Other directors included Melissa Bowman, Vernilla Clark, and Margie G. Willis. Wanda Anderson served as secretary for the week.

Delicious food was served Thursday night by Dianne R. Parker and staff. Rev. Joe L. Glaze is the pastor.
