Our day at Ebenezer Baptist Church was a good one. Dr. Dupree presented the children's story and ages 3-5 were dismissed to pre-school church led by Teresa Kemp and Miranda Nelson. Lauree Shelton kept the nursery. The sermon was on tithing: "Do people rob God?," from Malachi and Matthew. Bill Fair read the scripture and also gave his testimony on tithing. The youth of Ebenezer and their leaders would like to thank everyone who assisted with the barbecued chicken dinner Saturday. It was a great success. . On June 17, Rebecca Phillips of Conyers, and friends, Casey Norton, Ansleigh, Ivey, and Corbin of Covington, spent from Wednesday evening until Friday with Mr. and Mrs. Richard Phillips. They all met Greg Phillips of North Augusta and enjoyed supper at the Harvest Table to celebrate Father's Day for Richard Phillips. Stephanie Haynes, Chip and Skyla of Grovetown arrived on Saturday and spent the weekend with the Phillipses. They visited in Commerce Sunday. .Peyton Standard of Columbia, S.C., spent the weekend with his grandmother, Linda Standard. On Sunday, Laura Houpt and Linda carried Peyton to Lincoln County to the YMCA Camp to spend this week. .Mrs. Catiel Felts of Gainesville visited her dad, Walter Tuttle, and Mrs. Tuttle on Father's Day. .Tyler Epps, grandson of Regina Dunnaway, has been taken to the Sheppard Spinal Center in Atlanta for treatment. Keep Tyler and his family in your prayers. .Mr. and Mrs. Joe Shank of Lexington, S.C., spent Friday and Saturday with Mrs. Hal Shank. .Mrs. Pat Tuttle and Rhonda Newsome went to Augusta last weekend to pick up Mrs. Mary Boldin, an aunt of Pat. She is visiting her sister, Mrs. Alma L. O'Neal. Miss Alma's daughter, Mrs. Henry O'Pry of Athens, spent a recent weekend with Miss Alma. Pat visits often. .Jack Newsome spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Walter Tuttle. .Russell Goldman of Doraville attended the Turpin reunion at Mt. Zion Sunday. Also visiting were Randy Goldman, Connie Johnson, Misty and Jonathan. .Linda Standard, Peyton Standard, and Aubrye and Michael Mathe visited Sara Huff last week. .Mr. and Mrs. Troy Brown, Bill and Johnnie Turpin of Lithia Springs visited Miss Grace Dunaway and Alex Dunaway Sunday afternoon. .I visited my mother, Mrs. Henry Wallace in Lincoln County, several times last week. .Toni Roberson Callaway was honored with a baby shower Sunday afternoon at Ebenezer Baptist Church. It was a lively affair and Toni received many nice gifts. We had about six newborn infants present and all were precious. .Trace Newsome of Nicholson spent a couple of days with G.B. and me last week. I carried him to his doctor's appointment in Augusta. We enjoyed dinner at Ryan's in North Augusta. .Lona Chesnut and son Roy visited Paul Ingram in Atlanta from Thursday until Sunday. On Saturday they enjoyed a day at Six Flags. .Mr. and Mrs. Mike Matthews of Harlem attended the Turpin family reunion Sunday and enjoyed visiting Mrs. Lucille Ingram in the afternoon.

.A memorial service for Joe Paradowitz was held at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church after the reunion Sunday. .Sincere sympathy to all who recently lost loved ones. .Happy birthday to all who are celebrating a birthday this week.
