It was reported in the July 9 issue of this newspaper that the Wilkes County Health Department was a sponsor of a rabies clinic to be held on July 11. The clinic was cancelled because Wilkes County Veterinary Services is providing rabies vaccinations free for the month of July. The Wilkes County Health Department was not a sponsor of the scheduled event.
