Barrett Gilchrist Anderson graduated from the College of Osteopathic Medicine at Michigan State University on May 7.

His grandfather, Dr. William G. Anderson (AOA President, 1994) presented the graduation commencement address. In addition, he participated in the hooding ceremony along with Barrett's father, Dr. Gil Anderson.

Barrett is the seventh physician in the Anderson family.

He is the son of Dr. Gil and Doris Gartrell Anderson (Washington Central High School, class of 1968) of Bloomfield, Michigan. He is the grandson of Josephine Gartrell and the late Harry Gartrell of Washington. He is the nephew of Gladys G. Pinkston, also of Washington.
