Phillips Mill Baptist sets homecoming, revival to begin Sun.
Phillips Mill Baptist Church, 5479 Greensboro Road, Washington, will have revival services beginning with homecoming on August 9 at 11 a.m. There will be a covered dish lunch following the service. The Sunday evening service will be at 6 p.m.
Services will continue on Monday night at 7 p.m. with testimony and song by the clients of Penfield Christian Home. The Tuesday and Wednesday services, August 11-12, will also begin at 7 p.m. Following the Wednesday night service there will be an ice cream social in the fellowship hall.
Guest speaker for the services will be Bill Sturm, staff evangelist for the Morningside Baptist Church in Valdosta. He is a native of Oklahoma and has spent 34 years in evangelism, and has served as a pastor for eight years. He says that he was saved at age 22 while working as a bouncer in a nightclub. He and his wife Martha have a daughter and two granddaughters.
