Homecoming at Clifford's Grove Baptist Church will be this Sunday, August 9. Services will begin with Sunday School at 10 a.m. and worship service at 11 o'clock. A covered dish meal will be served in the fellowship hall following the services. Revival services will begin Sunday evening at 7:30 and go through Wednesday. We are glad to have evangelist Rev. Donald Walton with us again as guest speaker on Sunday morning and each evening. Everyone is invited to attend. . Agnes Hayden of Martinez came Tuesday to spend the day with us. Her birthday was the next day, July 29. She usually comes on her birthday every year but they were going to Tybee Island Beach for a few days. Reports were that she, Carl, and Philip had a great time. .Pam and Ricky McCarty spent several days at their lake house in Elbert County. . Sue Davis went to Augusta last Saturday, July 25, and visited until Tuesday with Faye and Bill Scoggin and family. .Trudy and John Sutherland went to Columbia Wednesday for her doctor's appointment. We are happy she received a good report. .Congratulations to John and Trudy Sutherland. They celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary Saturday, August 1. .Laura and Charles Foxworth of Rome and James and Keeley Lance of Augusta spent the weekend with Willard and Sue Lance. .Adam blamed Eve; Eve blamed the snake; and the snake didn't have a leg to stand on.
