One injured in Lincolnton Road wreck


Georgia State Patrol Trooper Brent Marxsen and Wilkes 911 Director Jerry Hackney examine the wadded-up Ford Focus in which a Washington woman, Elizabeth Reid, was injured. Marxsen said that Reid's car went off the right side of Lincolnton Road near Oak Grove Road, brushed a power pole, spun and crashed backward into a large pine tree. A Rayle EMC lineman restored power to one residence after the crash. Reid was transported to Wills Memorial Hospital for treatment.
