The Sandwich Shop on The Square in downtown Washington continues to have a jar on the front counter to collect donations for Calli Nickels, 13-yearold cancer victim. Bruce and Paula Fitzgerald, owners of The Sandwich Shop match the amount donated and they urge everybody to stop by and make a donation to this fund.

Wilkes County will be hosting the 10th District General Missionary Baptist Convention of Georgia's Annual Deaconess Anniversary Sunday, September 13, 2:30 p.m. The program will be held at the Third Shiloh Missionary Association Center, 219 McLendon Drive, Washington.
