DR. MAURICE WATSON DR. MAURICE WATSON Springfield Baptist Church will be hosting a three night revival on September 14-16 at 7:30 p.m. Dr. Maurice Watson, of Beulahland Bible Church in Macon and Warner Robins, will be the guest speaker.

Pastor Watson, at the age of 16, accepted the call to preach the gospel and two years later was ordained. His first pastorate was at St. Mark Baptist Church in Little Rock, where he served for seven years.

In November 1988, at the age of 28, Watson pastored at the Salem Baptist Church in Omaha, Nebraska, where he served for a little over 15 years. Salem's membership grew from 1,200 to more than 3,500 and the ministry was able to move into a new 42,000-square-foot, multimillion dollar facility by January 2000.

In early 2004, Watson became the senior pastor of Beulahland Bible Church in Macon. Beulahland has grown tremendously adding thousands to the ministry. With the primary goal of "Changing the World from Middle Georgia," Watson's leadership took Beulahland to a second location of worship in Warner Robins beginning February 2005.

Watson is motivated by his love for people, his love for preaching, and his belief that no one is beyond God's reach.

"I was born - put on this Earth, in this universe to be a preacher, teacher, and pastor of people. Seeing people helped and seeing lives transformed through what I might have to say or what God might have to say through me motivated me. It's my purpose for being alive," he said.
