Dove shoot to raise funds for youth program Claibourn Darden will once again welcome hunters young and old Saturday to the fourth annual Darden Dove Shoot, a benefit shoot for the Georgia Outdoor Network SEEDS youth program. The shoot, held in Taliaferro County, is expected to draw 80-100 hunters, including many from Wilkes County. After a barbecue lunch in the shade of a pole barn, hunters will head for the fields. Last year, Darden said, several hunters bagged their limit of 15 birds, and, more importantly, youth were introduced to hunting. The dove shoots have raised more than $5,000 for the SEEDS youth program.
