Bennett honored with presidential award

Patsy Massey (right) of St. Mary's Hospice presents Washington hospice volunteer Zella Bennett with a Presidential Volunteer Award and a letter from President Barack Obama. The President's Council on Service and Civic Participation honored Bennett for her more than 300 hours of volunteer service. In addition to the letter from President Obama, Bennett received a bronze pin and a certificate. "Zella has been very faithful, loving, and compassionate," said Massey, "and we appreciate her so much."
