Dr. Dupree's sermon at Ebenezer Baptist Church Sunday was titled "A Peek Into Hell" from Psalm 9 and Luke 16. We had several regulars absent, but still had a good attendance. On September 6 we will have a fellowship meal after the service. Come and bring a covered dish and a friend. The youth meet on Sunday evenings at 5 p.m. at the church. They really have a great time. .Happy birthday to Mrs. Jackie Dupree on September 4. We hope she has a wonderful birthday. Also, happy birthday to Curtis Hall, Tanya Fain, and a happy anniversary to Ronnie and Shirley Scroggs. .Our guests have been our children, Shane and Trace of Jackson County; Shannon of Tignall; and Burt. Others have been Linda Standard (who brought delicious food), Trudy Sutherland, who prepared a meal and brought supper. Friday evening, Linda and Rickey Tunnell of Winder came. .I had three appointments with doctors in Augusta last week and further tests. I would like to thank everyone who has prayed for me and for other acts of kindness. I appreciate everything so very much. .Vicky Glenn visited her aunt, Lucille Ingram, and cousins, Lona Chesnut Roy, Sunday afternoon. .Mr. and Mrs. Michael Matthews of Harlem spent the weekend with her mother, Mrs. Lucille Ingram. .Michael Van Hart and Hunter Safrit spent Saturday night with Roy Chesnut. .Mr. and Mrs. Michael Mathe of North Augusta spent the weekend with her grandmother, Linda Standard. Other visitors have been Daniel Standard of Rayle, Bobby Ansley Jr., Sarah Huff, Sherry Newsome, and Alex Dunaway. Linda also visited Bobby and Heather Ansley during the week. .Sarah Huff and Linda Standard attended worship service at Pierce's Chapel Sunday. Rev. O'Neal of Augusta brought the message. Sarah and Linda visited Grace and Alex Dunaway Sunday afternoon. .Michael and Aubrye Mathe of North Augusta visited Sarah Huff, Cassie and Bryson during the weekend. Linda Standard, Connie and Misty Johnson also visited Sarah.

.Rick Newsome of Springfield, Va., spent last week with his mother, Mrs. Jenelle C. Newsome. .Tommy and Regina Dunnaway, Sarah Huff, and Linda Standard, visited Grace and Alex Dunaway during the week. .Sincere love and sympathy to all who lost loved ones recently.
