Funeral services for Dorothy Ann Evans Gresham, 58, were held Monday, August 31, 2009, at Heard's Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. G.L. Avery officiating. The interment was in City West Cemetery. She died Tuesday, August 25, at her residence.

Mrs. Gresham was a native of Wilkes County and the daughter of the late Christine Daniel and the late Charles Evans. She was a member of Heard's Chapel Baptist Church. She was the widow of Albert Gresham.

Survivors include a sister, Charlene Gresham of Washington; a daughter and son-in-law, Shirley and Richard Stroud of Washington; two sons and daughters-in-law, Albert and KiKi Gresham Jr. of Sparta, and Charles and Tonia Gresham of Ohio; stepfather, Edward Daniel of Washington; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers included Jake Gresham, Sam Gresham, Patrick Norman, Clifford Stalnaker, and Welborn Stevens.

Davenport-McLendon Mortuary Inc. of Washington was in charge of arrangements.
