Jamya Aaliyah Gartrell

Johnny and Patricia Gartrell of Washington announce the birth of their daughter, Jamya Aaliyah, on Wednesday, August 12, at Athens Regional Medical Center in Athens. Jamya weighed 6 lbs. 1 oz. and was 19 ½ inches long. She has an 18-month-old sister, Juliya.

Maternal grandparents are Julia Starks of Washington and the late Mack Williams.

Paternal grandparents are Walter and Elizabeth Gartrell of Washington.

Mrs. Gartrell is the former Patricia Williams of Washington.

Ansley Katherine Hackney

Jim Hackney, presently serving with the U.S. Navy in Al Asad, Iraq, and Christy Hackney of Marietta announce the birth of their daughter, Ansley Katherine, on Friday, August 21, at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital in Marietta. Ansley Kate weighed 6 lbs. 14 ozs. and was 18 ½ inches long. She has a sister, Lauren Elizabeth, who is 3 ½ years old.

Maternal grandparents are James and Linda Freeman of Thomson.

Paternal grandparents are Jerry and Mildred Hackney of Washington.

Mrs. Hackney is the former Christy Freeman of Thomson.
