Katherine Elizabeth Collis Christopher Franklin Underwood Mr. and Mrs. Taylor Collis of Eatonton announce the engagement of their daughter, Katherine (Katie) Elizabeth, to Christopher (Chris) Franklin Underwood, son of Gary (Pete) Underwood and Mrs. Vickie Underwood of Union Point.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. Larry Jones and the late Mr. Jones and Mr. and Mrs. H. T. Collis, all of Eatonton.

She is a 2003 graduate of Putnam County High School and a 2008 graduate of Georgia College and State University in Milledgeville where she earned a Bachelor in Chemistry degree and a minor in Criminal Justice. Miss Collis is employed as a chemist with Zschimmer and Schwarz Inc. in Milledgeville.

Mr. Underwood is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Turner of Washington, the late Jerry Harper and the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank Underwood of Union Point.

He is a 2002 graduate of Nathanael Greene Academy in Siloam, a 2004 graduate of Georgia Military College with a Associate in Science degree, and attended Georgia College and State University. Mr. Underwood is employed with Underwood's Tree Service in Union Point.

The wedding is planned for Saturday, September 26, at 6:30 p.m. at the home of the bride's parents. All family and friends are cordially invited to attend.
