 Adam Rose, age 7, and Chris Rose, age 13, the great-grandsons of Mamie Wilkinson-Huff of Tignall, took their News-Reporter to the last Michigan State Fair. The Michigan State Fair officially opened in 1849 and was the first state fair in the United States. The 2009 Michigan State Fair will be the last one after 150 years. The boys also took The Reporter to Comerica Park, home of the Detroit Tigers, and to Windsor, Canada. This News- Reporter is 600 miles from home. |
