Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Joseph Pruitt Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Joseph Pruitt Abbie Nicole Berry of Athens and Bobby Joseph Pruitt of Gainesville were united in marriage in a lovely double-ring ceremony Saturday, August 15, at four o'clock in the afternoon at Mallorysville Baptist Church in Tignall. The bride's father, Rev. Donnie Berry, officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Donnie and Kris Berry of Rayle.

The bridegroom is the son of Bobby and Caren Pruitt and Michael and Teresa Ross of Gainesville.

The guest register, tended by Loganne Bradshaw of Thomson, was at a table overlaid in white and decorated with a budvase of daisies.

A rose placed on an open Bible and hurricane candles adorned the pulpit podium. Two candelabra, entwined with ivy, and ferns on white pedestals decorated the altar. The unity candelabrum was to the left side and four memory candles in crystal candleholders were to the right. These were placed in memory of Bradley Berry, grandfather of the bride; Sybil Vaughn, great-aunt of the bride; Don Pruitt and Joe Roy Jones, grandfathers of the bridegroom. Ivory bows with watermelon flowers marked the parents' and grandparents' pews.

Loganne Bradshaw lighted the candles. Memory candles were lighted by Betty Berry of Rayle, ushered by her great-grandson, Bradley Parker; and Lila Hostings, escorted by Tristan Hostings of Rayle, also great-grandchildren of Mrs. Berry.

Pre-recorded music was played by Necoma Grindle of Gillsville.

Lindsey Morgan of Atlanta stood with the bridegroom. She wore a full-length black dress complemented by a strand of pearls and earrings, a gift from the bride. Her bouquet was a smaller version of the bride's bouquet.

Groomsmen were Anthony Nguyen and Adam White of Gainesville.

Jessica Berry of Ila was her sister's maid of honor. She wore a sleeveless full-length jersey gown in watermelon with charmeuse straps and waist finished by a strand of pearls and earrings, gifts from the bride. She also carried a smaller version of the bride's bouquet.

Bridesmaids were Katie Anderson of Atlanta and Danielle Goodman of Murfreesboro, Tenn. Their gowns, flowers and jewelry matched those of the honor attendant.

Kylie and Lindsey Pruitt of Gainesville, daughters of the bridegroom, and Marley Bonds of Ila, served as flower girls. They wore short sleeve ivory crinkle chiffon dresses fashioned with empire waists with beaded ribbon detailing and ivory slippers with dainty pearls. Each wore a wreath of tiny ivory flowers, beads and gypsophila and carried a white basket of silk rose petals.

Nicholas Grindle of Gillsville was the ringbearer.

The bride's father exited the altar to escort his daughter down the aisle. He spoke personally to her to give her a special blessing. Given in marriage by her parents, the bride was stunning in her full-length all-over lace A-line halter gown with beaded embroidery. The empire waist was atop the split front skirt that trailed into a sweep train.

Her tiara held her short ivory veil that was scattered with pearls and rhinestones and finished with corded edging.

She carried a nosegay of eggplant purple miniature callas, pink cymbidium orchids, deep pink roses, watermelon-colored roses, reddish- Burgundy Japanese asters, purple wax flower, seeded eucalyptus and tree fern with ivory satin ribbon, an ivory sheer ribbon bow and streamers.

For her daughter's wedding Mrs. Berry wore black chiffon palazzo pants with a black-silver chiffon jacket over a black silk camisole, all accented by black earrings and necklace.

The bridegroom's mother, Mrs. Ross, wore a tea-length royal blue dress.

His stepmother, Mrs. Pruitt, chose a taupe full-length gown accented with beading on the bodice.

Mrs. Berry, the bride's grandmother, wore a black and aqua pantsuit.

The bridegroom's grandmother, Eunice Deal of Commerce, wore a pink two-piece suit and his grandmother, Alice Pruitt of Gainesville, chose a brown full-length gown.

All had corsages of ivory cymbidium orchids.

Reception

Following the ceremony the bride's parents entertained at a reception in the church fellowship hall.

Ferns marked the entrance to the hall.

The bride's table was draped with a white Army-Navy cloth and held the beautiful and delicious white wedding cake with symmetrical piping in black. Atop the cake was a glass replica of a bride and bridegroom. The attendants' bouquets surrounded the cake that was served by Rebecca Davis of Watkinsville.

The bridegroom's cake, a gift from the bride's father, was a four-layered Red Velvet confection topped with icons of the bride pulling the bridegroom away from the computer. The bride's cousin, Shelley Parker of Rayle, served the cake.

Centering the fellowship hall were the main refreshment tables covered with Army-Navy cloths and decorated with lovely floral arrangements by Teresa Osborne of Union Point.

Lattice provided the backdrop to the punch and tea tables also covered in Army-Navy cloths.

Guests enjoyed cheese straws, sandies, chicken salad croissants, tea biscuits with ham, meatballs in sauce, fruit with dip, toasted pecans, brownies, cheese balls and crackers, and M&M's with the bride and bridegroom's initials.

Serving were Nina Boatwright and Samantha Parker, cousin of the bride, of Rayle.

Adjacent to the fellowship hall was a wall of white lattice accented with greenery and pink rosebuds. A setting of ferns and peace lilies on pedestals, a water fountain and a wicker loveseat added to this area.

Small bottles of bubbles were given out by Loganne Bradshaw and Lila Hostings.

After the tossing of the bouquet and Georgia Bulldog garter, the couple left in their wedding attire.

They are residing in Commerce.
