Driver spins into creek at Oglethorpe County line

A young woman from Augusta lost control of her Honda on Highway 78 just east of the Oglethorpe County line Tuesday morning, spinning and hitting a guardrail before plunging down some 50 feet into Dry Fork Creek. She escaped with a cut on the forehead, which Wilkes EMS treated on the scene. Ansley's Wrecker Service had the unfortunate job of recovering the car.
