Ott Jgi, Georgia Rotary Student Program exchange student sponsored in part by the Washington Rotary Club, told local club members about his home country of Estonia at their regular meeting last Thursday. He explained that Estonia is a democratic republic located just south of Finland and bordering Russia. He said the entire country is known for its love of the internet and the people there are working to make the entire country wireless. He also reported that Skype was invented in Estonia. When asked what he found most interesting or fun about the United States, Jgi enumerated, among other things, fried chicken, the expression "y'all," and the interesting differences in culture and customs between states. Paula Stevens (right) was program host for the day.
