Amy Sims

Funeral services for Amy Sims, 89, of Washington were held Saturday, October 3, 2009, at Cherry Grove Baptist Church, Washington, with Rev. Charles Belton officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery. She died Tuesday, September 29, at Heritage Healthcare of Wilkes.

She was a native of Wilkes County and the daughter of the late Will and Carmen Isabel Sims. She was a member of Cherry Grove Baptist Church.

Survivors include a sister, Bertha Sims of Washington; and a niece, Margaret Sims of Washington.

Pallbearers included Andre Butler, Gregory J. Sims, Jessie Sims Jr., Willie J. Sims, Curtis Williams, and Willie F. Wingfield.

Davenport-McLendon Mortuary of Washington was in charge of arrangements.
