Funeral services for J.B. Woods, 64, of Tignall were held Saturday, October 3, 2009, at the Pole Branch Missionary Baptist Church, Tignall, with Rev. Joe Glaze officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery. He died September 27.

Mr. Woods was a native of Wilkes County and the son of the late Lillie Mae Woods and Arthur Calloway. He had been a member of the Pole Branch Missionary Baptist Church, and was a member of the Youth Crusade Church in South Carolina.

Survivors include two sons, Ret. SFC Luther G. Bradley and his wife Carolyn of Camak, and Christopher A. and Stacy Woods of Washington; six grandchildren; four sisters, Eva Mae Hardeman, Washington, Annie Lois Carter, Rozilyn Greene, and Iris Ellis of Athens; two godsons; and four stepchildren.

McLendon Memorial Funeral Home of Washington was in charge of arrangements.
