Art for Animals' to help in fund-raising for Wilkes Shelter
The Pawprints Foundation of Augusta has offered a fund-raising opportunity to the Washington-Wilkes Animal Shelter.
Dr. Nancy McNair, founder of the foundation, has visited the Washington-Wilkes shelter and met with some of the members of the Washington-Wilkes Humane Shelter Association. She is including the shelter in the "Pawprints: Art for Animals" fund-raiser Saturday, October 24, 7-10 p.m., at Taylor BMW, 4180 Washington Road, Evans.
"This has been a spectacular success for the Augusta area previously," says Alice Green on behalf of the Washington shelter, "with great shopping (much more than art), food and entertainment. We are grateful that our shelter is included this year."
Tickets are on sale for $20 each or $30 a couple at Scarborough's and Petal Pushers Christmas.
Donations of items for the auctions are welcomed. Call Dot Harris at 706-678-2818 or Alice Green at 706-678-5660 if you have items to donate.
